“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
I am trained in EMDR therapy and may encourage you to consider this approach in treatment. EMDR is an evidenced-based approach that was originally developed for the treatment of trauma / PTSD. It has since been shown to be effective for many other psychological issues. In my experience working with clients utilizing EMDR, I have come to a greater understanding of the brain's ability to heal itself. This approach taps into your own innate process of healing.
EMDR therapy is an eight-phase treatment that identifies and addresses experiences that have overwhelmed the brain’s natural resilience or coping capacity, which is often contributing to current emotional or psychological symptoms. Clients are able to reprocess historical information until it is no longer psychologically disruptive.
